The contribution of small business is very significant towards employment generation, poverty alleviation and the overall advancement of the private sector. According to a study conducted in 2010, SMEs (excluding microenterprises) in Nepal employ approximately 57 percent of total work force. SMEs face constraints in terms of access to finance and poor managerial skills.
To overcome the constraint face by small businesses, the Bank is focusing to provide financial and non-financial services to the SMEs. Under these services, the bank strives to provide financial services for working capital, asset acquisition etc. and non-financial services like business counselling and business literacy. The Inclusive Banking serves the loans up to the ticket size of NRs. 5 million.
